Project Overview
In light of the harsh humanitarian conditions endured by the people of Gaza, and with continued displacement and loss of income, thousands of families living in tents face daily challenges in securing their basic needs, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan. As prices rise and resources become increasingly scarce, the suffering deepens, creating an urgent need for humanitarian intervention to ensure a minimum level of security and preserve the dignity of the most vulnerable families.Accordingly, the Zakat Committee of Deir Al-Balah city is implementing a comprehensive Ramadan campaign that includes several initiatives aimed at supporting 1,000 vulnerable families throughout the holy month. These initiatives include:
▪ Sponsoring families throughout the month of Ramadan.
▪ Providing iftar meals for fasting individuals.
▪ Distributing comprehensive Ramadan food baskets.
▪ Relieving debtors (debt relief for those in hardship).
▪ Providing Eid clothing for children.
▪ Collecting and distributing Zakat al-Mal and Zakat al-Fitr.
