Project Overview
In the heart of the tragedy faced by displaced families in the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian crisis is escalating to unprecedented levels, more than two million people are facing the deadly threat of thirst and the absence of clean water sources. As the crisis deepens, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory, Jamie McGoldrick, has confirmed that waterborne diseases have become widespread due to the severe shortage of safe drinking water. The problem is no longer just a lack of water—it has become the water itself that is a source of illness and death.
Providing clean water consistently to displaced people at all distribution points is not a luxury or a passing charitable act, but an urgent humanitarian necessity to save lives. As Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best charity is giving water to drink", quenching the thirst of those in need is among the greatest and most impactful acts of kindness.
From this standpoint, Rangkiang Peduli Negeri (RPN) from Indonesia, in partnership with Tasharuky Platform, is launching the "Drops of Hope" campaign to distribute safe drinking water to displaced families in the Gaza Strip, as part of an urgent relief response aimed at saving lives and preserving human dignity.
Campaign Objectives:
Provide clean and safe drinking water to displaced people across all displacement areas.
Reduce the spread of diseases linked to contaminated water.
Support the resilience of affected families and ease their daily suffering.
